York Research Participant Pool
We are recruiting older adult participants in the community to become members of the York Research Participant Pool (YRPP). YRPP represents a database of community volunteers who wish to be contacted on a regular basis regarding lifespan research studies at York University in which they are eligible to participate.

Visual and Auditory Processing in People with One Eye
Seeking participants who are at least 16 years of age or older who have had one eye surgically removed due to trauma or pathology. More details about this study
Visual and Cognitive Development Project
Seeking babies whose age falls anywhere between 2 and 6 months of age. The particular objective of this research program is to begin to delineate the mechanisms of selective attention in early development, by use of a new methodology of assessing infants’ and adults’ eye movements.

Mindfulness Virtual Communities Study
The Mindfulness Virtual Communities study is a CIHR funded research study supporting student mental health on campus. We are conducting the next phase of our Full RCT with the aim to recruit 160 students per term for three terms (Fall 2017, Winter 2018 & Fall 2018). Students have the option to receive a $50 cash honorarium or URPP credits.

A trial of labour or a repeat Cesarean section? A mixed methods study examining women’s preferences and providers’ counsel: Phase II – The factors women consider
Repeat Cesarean section (Csection) is a major contributor to the high rate of C-sections in Canada. The majority of women with a previous C-section are eligible for a trial of labour leading to vaginal birth, yet the number of women choosing this option has dropped by half within the past decade. We are interested in talking to women between the ages of 18 and 50 who have had one previous C-section and live in Canada about the factors they consider when deciding on their preferred method of delivery for pregnancies after C-section. Your participation would involve completing a 15 minute online survey.
